PURPOSE CHASER

Ok.. we have all heard the song Paper Chaser… by the rapper Juvenile, LOL…but have you ever considered yourself a Purpose Chaser?!!!!! I DO!! When God takes you through a storm, and you survive it, you realize that there was a reason that he kept you here... a purpose. It may take some time to find that purpose but that does not mean that it isn’t out there. For me, I begin to chase my purpose when I lost my baby girl in 2015. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia, and I had no other choice but to deliver her early. It was a tough decision for my boyfriend and I, but with the grace of god we made it through it. This is what brought me closer to God. A lot of time we have wake up calls from God and we look at them as if they are just a setback, instead of looking at it as god getting ready to bless you. It took me a long time to realize that he works in his own timing… AND NOT OURS!!

Before then, I was guilty of looking at situations as being the worst instead of the best. “I’m being punished”, “God has his favorites”, were only some of the things that I would tell myself. I am so glad that this pain caused me to see things the way God does. No. I am not a minister, but I do believe in the word of god, and I am not afraid to ever share my story. I know that it will inspire others and NO - I don’t look like what I’ve been through (Thank God). It’s OK to brag on yourself when you know it was the work of God, and he wants everyone else who doesn’t know him to get to know him through me, and through you as well. Be an encourager for those around you, it makes life so much easier. I survived this storm because he built me to do so!!!!!
