5 Strategies to Turn Your Pain into Power

One of the worst things in the world is to find yourself in a storm that you do not know how to get out of. We have all experienced it on some level, because there are things that have occurred that are beyond our control. The reasons may seem unclear, but there is always room to understand where you are and what you have to do to get from there.


So... at this point is where you begin to turn the pain into power, and we as Queens will ALWAYS DO THAT. In order to so, there are a few things you have to consider.


1. Choose your circle wisely

It is not beneficial nor is it an advantage to surround yourself with those people who will not help you during your time of need. There is such a thing as being genuine, and there is such a thing as being nosy. Which one are you entertaining? It is not hard to tell the difference because the storm is not the only thing that should have brought these people face forward. They should have been there during all the good times in your life as well, that’s how you know the love is real. Spectators are those that look at you as if they are waiting for you to fall apart, because it is something THEY may not have been able to get through. Yep... this is the reason they watching. Show them different. Show them that you DON’T and NEVER will look like what you have been through.


2. Remember how there are those off worse than you

No matter what our situations are, there is always someone off worse than we are. We sit around and complain about the holidays being boring, but there are people who have never had loved ones to share this with. I may have lose my child, but I am still her so I know that there is a reason for that. Be grateful for the space that you are in, because we all know that storms are temporary.


3. Rid your life of negativity and toxicity

Life and death are in the power of your tongue. SO if you speak negativity over your life and situation, you will not grow. Always speak positive when it comes to your life. Toxic situations can come from all aspects of life, but I will just touch on Social Media. Sometimes we have to take a step back in order for God to thrust us forward. This may mean taking a break from social media, because you can read something in the wee hours of the morning that can have an effect on your whole day. There are tons of positive things, but there is a lot of negative things as well. Make the decision at the time that benefits you and your healing or well-being.


4. Allow yourself space to evolve and realize your purpose

Make it a mission to do things differently than you have done in the past. Staying stuck and comfortable with not allow you to grow. Evolving involves being around those things you may have been afraid of, taking chances that you never thought you would, starting that business, writing that book, whatever will come from this pain because this is where you discover and retain your POWER. Power is the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events. Wow!!!!! What a definition!!! It means that no matter what happened, you are able change the outcome. You don’t have to be angry because the man that you though would marry you left, you don’t have to be mad because you haven’t been able to find the job of your dreams. And yes, these are storms that we as women go through often, because we were BUILT to conquer them!!!


5. Stop making emotional decisions

Because you are sad, don’t eat that extra cheeseburger, don’t spend that money on that dress because you feel that it will make you feel better. All of these are emotional decisions because you are acting from your emotions. Our flesh can be a curse sometimes, because we want to go after those things that will make it happy.

Think about these strategies the next time you are faced with something that you think you can’t overcome. Following them from then on will be easy like Sunday morning!
